JOB TITLE: Manager_Aftermarket
DIVISION: GAP (Gas and Process)
REPORT TO: General Manager
LOCATION: Busan Plant
[Mission]
Being located within the PC in Busan you will play a crucial role to build and manage the local After Market function and to integrate this into the PC. You will assure and improve operational efficiency and provide best in class services to our local customers and ship owners but also internally (engineering and production as well as SHEQ). You will closely collaborate with the regional AM team for SEA as well as the other AM teams within the GAP division.
Reporting to the General Manager you will be a part of the local management team; the position is located in Busan/Korea.
[Key Responsibilities]
As our After Market Manager, you will not only manage your team but also being highly involved with the customer orders at all stages starting with applications and continuing through order execution and FAT’s until final acceptance by our client. You will monitor and support the planning process for installation and subsequent commissioning and provide technical support to the team. To provide feedback to improve our products and processes as well as commercial success of the company is your passion.
The position includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks and activities:
- Manage the After Market team and support its growth
- Assure appropriate training to the team but also the right staffing for its success
- Attending customer meetings, monitor activities to meet – and exceed - the project schedule but also customers expectation
- Support the team in case of technical issues, assure proper support from within the company but also other entities After Market function
- Participate de-briefing to assure communication of improvement issues back to engineering and production, frequently participate in design review meetings
- You are cost conscious but also driven by continuous improvement – “There is always a better way”
- Safety is your highest priority
[Experience and knowledge]
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or automation/electrical engineering or comparable.
- Minimum of 5 years managerial experience within a technical field, preferably in field service
- Technical knowledge about turbo and/or screw compressor packages (rotating machinery) and related auxiliary equipment like heat exchanger, drives, controls, …
- Having experience in marine environment, specially in LNG, is a strong surplus
- Previous field service experience
- Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken, Korean language is your mother tongue
- Confident handling of MS O365, ERP system (SAP is a surplus) and our PLM system
